People, Animals and Ocean, sounds like a peaceful place.

Flaunt and Ocean Vodka presented a mind-bending happening at the Goldbear Academy. Sioux and White Mountain Apache tribes performed traditional drum and dance ceremonies to hundreds of spiritual revelers dressed as their spirit animals. The colorful and lively audience enthusiastically partook in Native American traditions surrounded by paintings and photographs commissioned specifically for the event. Artists Adarsha Benjamin, Alia Penner, Ashley Haber, Mekenzie Kay, and Shelby Duncan covered the walls of the elegant Silverlake warehouse with works inspired by Flaunt Magazine’s latest feature on Los Angeles’ musical Renaissance -the 16-page article “Rise of the Hippiester” by writer Marc-Edouard Leon.  Bands featured in the story such as The Pharmacy, Rainbow Arabia, and The Entrance Band were invited to perform while psychedelic visual by Maximilla Lukacs and Jeremy Rendina were projected over them. An open lot besides the warehouse was filled with art cars and saw performances by mimes and hula-hoopers. Guests danced joyfully to DJ Daniel Merlot and lined up to get their bodies painted by makeup artist Sunevil. Meanwhile hair stylist Ramsell Martinez gave free haircuts in front of a photo booth by Shelby Duncan and the directing trio Skinny presented the world premiere of its new video for songstress Jackie Tohn. The evening culminated when an LAPD helicopter became alerted by the sight of the animalistic pageantry and hovered over the lot with a blinding spotlight. As the police put an end to a night of spirituality, music, art, and fun, throngs of jubilant costumed party monsters merrily flooded out into the streets exclaiming, “BEST PARTY EVER!”
